iTopIt Recognized for Excellence in Food Safety!

For the third consecutive year, out of 2,400 retail food establishments in El Paso County, iTopIt is part of the select group of restaurants that met the stringent criteria for 2015 recognition.

El Paso County Public Health is partnering with the El Paso County Food Safety Advisory Group (FSAG) to recognize licensed retail food service establishments in El Paso County which consistently maintain superior food safety practices. This effort is known as “Excellence in Food Safety” and all of us at iTopit are enormously delighted to receive the 2015 award! 

Both of our frozen dessert shops have been recognized all three years during which the program has existed.  That means iTopIt has received no critical health code violations in 2013, 2014 and 2015! You can be certain that we are motivated and working hard to receive the 2016 award!

Our Yogurista teams at iTopIt continue to implement exceptional food safety practices that are recognized and appreciated by El Paso County and by our customers too.  They are led by Judy Anderson, our dedicated General Manager at iTopIt. “Tidiness and food safety is a huge team effort that we are happily dedicated to at iTopIt.  I continue to be very proud of our Yogurista teams,” Judy explained.

The El Paso County “Excellence in Food Safety” recognition program is a rewards-based system for the regulated retail food industry. It was developed by the FSAG with the goal of giving retail food establishments who successfully implement superior food safety practices recognition and appreciation. 14
